Description

Scaw-Bee Honey is a small, local beekeeper based in Scawby, North Lincolnshire (DN20), keeping bees in the village since June 2024. Their honey is produced from colonies located in and around the Scawby area, where bees forage across a rich agricultural and rural landscape.

The surrounding countryside of North Lincolnshire offers excellent forage throughout the season. Bees collect nectar and pollen from a wide variety of sources, including hawthorn, blackthorn, dandelions, clover, hedgerow blossoms, garden flowers, and oilseed rape grown across the local farmland. This diverse forage creates beautifully flavoured local honey, with colour and texture varying naturally depending on the season and available flowers.

Scaw-Bee Honey is harvested in small batches from their own hives, producing honey with a smooth texture and distinctive golden colour. The focus is on maintaining healthy, productive colonies and supporting pollinators within the local environment. Careful hive management continues year round, ensuring the bees are well prepared through winter and ready to thrive when spring arrives.

Honey is available to purchase directly from the gate at Vicarage Lane in Scawby, offering truly local honey with minimal food miles. It is also available from Scawby Post Office, making it easy for local residents to enjoy honey produced within their own community.

Scaw-Bee Honey reflects the character of the North Lincolnshire countryside, shaped by seasonal forage, traditional farmland, and careful small scale beekeeping.Scawby local honey
